Richie's paragliding

Verbier has got even quieter.

Richie....landed nastily on his foot.

...the steamer has gone on the blink again

Now that the schoolchildren are back studying and the Italians have returned to their country, Verbier has got even quieter. Saturday day-shift was particularly exciting, as the only food we served before 6 pm was 1 portion of nuggets! We assume that everyone was down at the 4x4 wheel drive motor show at the sports centre. Fortunately the evening was much busier. That said, we have still been doing better than last year. All the staff have finished except for Hanski who will be with us to the bitter end.

Richie, who had failed his licence only a couple of weeks ago, went paragliding the other day. We're not quite sure what actually happened, but it appears that he muffed his take-off and landed nastily on his foot. With a broken ankle, he has spent the past days in hospital in Sion, but should be out tomorrow Monday. Then we shall find out the truth. For some reason, informing Alan by SMS of his mishap, he wrote: "I wasn't paragliding whatsoever. Fell downstairs or something." Yeah, Richie.

Unsurprisingly, the steamer has gone on the blink again. Of course it has happened on a Saturday, just as we were doing some deep cleaning on the floor...
