Carnaval week.

Finally things seem to be getting back to normal, at least organizational-wise.

Finally things seem to be getting back to normal, at least organizational-wise. Last week's rota was respected even if Jamie's ankle played up again and he was unable to work Friday evening. We even have the steamer back and are able to do our cleaning normally.

On the business-side, though, we are still a bit disappointed, especially by the day-shifts, seeing as this is supposed to be high season again. The nice sunny weather has pushed the people up the mountain and we have not been anything like as busy as expected except for Friday when the bad weather kept the tourists off the streets and encouraged them to come to Harold's. The evenings, on the other hand, have been reasonable, especially Tuesday and Friday. The former because, although Mardi Gras, we managed to pack the place for the Champions League so that Alan had to come in and help out for a couple of hours. Maybe this was because other bars decided not to show the games as they were organizing parties instead, But we're not complaining...

Overall, though, there are signs that business should improve and the extremely bad period during January is behind us. Let's hope that this proves to be the case....
